Moving Company Helps Military Children August 23, 2018Back to School Brigade with movers and a truck School Supplies for Military Children Operation Homefront volunteers 2018 Local Moving Company Supports Military Children Springfield, VA – The children of five hundred military families (active duty as well as wounded, ill and injured) in the Washington DC Metro area received new backpacks and school supplies for this school year. My Guys Moving & Storage assisted the Back-to-School Brigade for the second year in a row by providing two movers and a truck to transport the donations from Operation Homefront’s Sterling, VA headquarters to the Hilton Springfield Hotel where the event was held on Saturday, August 11th. Vendors and volunteers came together to hold this community event that will eventually provide over 4,000 backpacks throughout the region. Special thanks to Nobilis, Navy Federal Credit Union, Girl Scouts of America, Boy Scouts of America, Richard Byrd Library, American Red Cross with Therapy dogs, Operation Homefront Reserves, Navy Federal Credit Union, Peraton, National Charity League, and Surgeon General.
